I really enjoyed the framing up of culture with the biblical narrative story. The commitment to proclamation and deed is central to the healing and redirecting of culture. However, theologians and seminary students (FYI, I am a SEBTS student) spend far too much time on correcting through words than healing through deeds. In particular, deeds toward those that have been hurt by the misguided words and actions of Christians. In support of this effort, my prayer is that we explore the implications of memory on words, deeds and responses within the context of culture. Anchoring in the garden of eden is a good and true starting point, but minimizing historical events and actors will only lead to pride.
