On the history of science and apologetics.
“We don’t have to be saddled with the view that science and religion are at war with one another…. A little bit of history shows why that whole conflict narrative is a false narrative. I can think of my own attitudes and how they’ve changed even since graduate school….
“I started reading historians like Peter Harrison and John Hedley Brooke, and I realized that God wasn’t something that gets tacked on…. It was absolutely central to their thinking. I’m convinced now that you don’t get their physics without their metaphysics, and their metaphysics has God right in the middle…. As a Christian, I would like to reclaim the history because it’s our history.”
